Just had Motorcycle Bob put beads in my tires to help ballance them. They are great and really smooth the ride out. Anyone interested in them contact Motorcycle Bob here and he will get back to you as soon as he can.
These beads are very small ceramic beads and depending on tire sizes, you add 1 to 3 ounces of these and your tire will run true and this will not only give you a better ride, but will also save on expensive motorcycle tires. I have actually seen these put in a tire that was very badly cupped and the tire started wearing the cups away. This means that the tire stated hitting the high spots instead of the low spots because they were ballanced properly.
I drive a big truck, and when you put steering tires on a truck, anyone that is worth their salt will have you drive about 2000 to 4000 miles and then reballance the tires. This is because when you get a tire and put it on the rim, it takes a while to seat and because of the wear of the tire, the ballance always changes. They can at least counter this some by ballancing them the second time after they have settled on the vehicle. With the beads, the tire reballances every time you drive over 25 miles per hour, therefore keeping the tire ballanced through it's full lifetime. It is known that not only are tires ballanced because of vibrations but so they will wear properly.
If you are smart, you will get ahold of Bob as soon as you can and get the beads installed. They are very reasonable, and will save money in the long run.

Hey, Dave. There is a discussion going on about these beads on another bike forum I frequent. Maybe you could weigh in on the subject?
